Class Notes -week 31
this week's focus:
Practising Teacher criteria
4. demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional learning and development of personal professional practice
I wonder if paying $60 for myself to go on a photography course to make me a better teacher counts as commitment? Lucky I can teach in an area that is also my hobby, at least for part of the time.

1) interdisciplinary & innovative education
The difference between multi-disciplinary working and interdisciplinary is described as the former being problem solving by members each with unique skill sets and the latter being more about planning, setting goals and making decisions together. It is suggested that interdisciplinary working can help to solve 'real-world' problems with Hardre et al ‘s (2013) study being cited as offering examples along with critique of practice.
Main points of this video are that you can create greater opportunities by allowing the space for people to work in an interdisciplinary way.
I understand the concept of creativity developing with less boundaries but I rarely see it in practice. The uplifting music in the background of this video is particularly annoying as it is intended to be uplifting and create an epic feel in too much of an overt manner.
