social media can effectively enhance learning
Be aware of the challenges in using Social Media. Begin by thinking about 'what is the purpose?' Eg. Could you use Facebook to encourage students to post and share videos that they have found useful on concepts that they have to learn. In this way, it would not just be me looking for videos but the class would search for videos and might find something better than I already have. I would have multiple resources searched for by 31 students, not just the resources I had found myself.
educators thoughts on connection
Generally they are all advocating the need to connect with others and the benefits of being electronically connected that extends your ability to connect beyond your immediate circle of people. You can "surround yourself with passionate educators".
